Far East Cherries And Ham - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) can lite or dark sweet cherries
1 (8 3/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks
2 1/2 c. cooked ham, cut in strips
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. oil
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
3 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 green pepper, coarsely chopped
3/4 c. diagonally cut green onions
dash of pepper
Preparation

Drain cherries and pineapple, reserving syrups.
Brown ham in oil.
Combine fruit syrups with brown sugar, cornstarch, mustard, vinegar, soy sauce and pepper.
Add to ham mixture and cook until thickened.
Add green pepper, green onions, cherries and pineapple.
Heat to boiling and cook 1 to 2 minutes longer.
Serve over steamed rice.
Serves 6.
