Artichoke And Mushroom Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. onion, finely chopped
    3/4 c. mushrooms, thinly sliced
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth
    2 1/2 c. half and half
    16 oz. artichoke hearts, drained and diced
    salt, cayenne pepper and Beau Monde seasoning to taste
Preparation
    Saute onion and mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes.
    Stir in flour; cook slowly for 2 minutes.
    Slowly add broth and half and half.
    Stir with whisk over low heat to thicken.
    Stir in artichokes and seasonings.
