Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    1/2 cup hot water
    4 tablespoons flour
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 cups milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
    Melt and brown 1/2 cup sugar.
    Add hot water and cook 3 minutes.
    Sift flour and 1 cup sugar.
    Add milk and egg yolks, stir.
    Add hot mixture, cook until thick.
    Add margarine and vanilla.
    Pour into pie crust.
    Beat egg whites until
    Slightly stiff.
    Add 1/2 cup sugar and beat until stiff.
    Top pie and brown.
