Grandmother Lou'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1/2 butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Mix sugar, butter and shortening until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, flour, salt, tartar and soda. Mix and roll into balls the size of a walnut. Place on cookie sheet 2-inches apart. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
