Ingredients

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. crushed pineapple
1 egg, beaten
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Cream the shortening and sugars.
Add the pineapple, egg and vanilla.
Combine all the dry ingredients and mix into the creamed mixture.
Fold in nuts.
Drop by the teaspoon on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
