Buttermilk Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

2 sq. unsweetened chocolate (2 oz.)
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 medium eggs
Preparation

Just
before starting to mix cake, pour 2/3 cup boiling water into unsweetened chocolate and melt.
Mix well and cool.
