Cheddar Cheese Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    1/2 lb. butter, softened
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    pecan halves (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients well (except for pecans).
    Chill well, then roll into small balls.
    Place on cookie sheets and flatten. Add pecan half if desired.
    Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Can be served hot or cold.
    Can be served at parties, tastes similar to cheese straws.
