Ingredients

1 loaf French bread
8 oz. sliced Swiss cheese
1 1/2 sticks butter (may decrease to 1 stick)
1 medium onion, minced or onion powder/salt
1 Tbsp. poppy seed
1 tsp. paprika
Preparation

Slice bread not quite all the way through.
Insert 1/4-inch slice cheese in each section.
Melt butter; stir in onion and poppy seed.
Pour over top of bread and sprinkle with paprika. Wrap in foil, leaving an opening on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
