Cheese Stuffed Hamburger Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    3 c. toasted bread crumbs
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. sage
    1 1/4 c. grated sharp process cheese
Preparation
    Simmer onions in 1/3 cup boiling water for 5 minutes; pour over bread.
    Combine meat, eggs and seasonings.
    Pat out in 14 x 8-inch rectangle on waxed paper.
    Spread meat mixture over; sprinkle 1 cup of the cheese atop.
    Roll.
