Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour (not self-rising)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 egg yolk
1/4 tsp. water
Preparation

Mix well with a spoon the shortening, sugar, 2 eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour, baking powder and salt.
Place dough in refrigerator for 1 hour.
