Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 unbeaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. seedless raisins
3/4 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
1 (15 or 16 oz.) can applesauce
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream in mixing bowl the sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, shortening, eggs and vanilla.
Add applesauce.
In another bowl, sift flour, soda, salt and baking powder.
Combine flour mixture with creamed mixture and beat.
Add raisins.
Put in floured and greased tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
Test with toothpick.
Cool in pan on wire rack. Wrap in aluminum foil.
Better a day or two after baked.
