Garlic Chicken Breasts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 whole chicken breasts, split
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    3 cloves garlic
    1 small onion
    1 small carrot, chopped (1/4 c.)
    1/2 c. dry sherry or Sauterne
    1 Tbsp. snipped parsley
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Brown chicken lightly over low heat in butter with garlic, onion and carrot.
    Place chicken and vegetables in baking dish. Combine sherry, parsley, salt, basil and pepper with pan juices. Pour over chicken.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, basting several times.
    Add water, if necessary.
    Makes 6 servings.
