Holiday Poke Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 baked 9-inch round white cake layers, cooled
    1 (4 serving size) pkg. red Jell-O brand gelatin (any flavor)
    1 (4-serving size) pkg. Jell-O brand lime flavor gelatin
    2 c. boiling water
    1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed
Preparation
    Place cake layers, top side up, in 2 clear 9-inch round cake pans.
    Pierce cake with a large fork at 1/2-inch intervals.
