1, 2 Or 3 Alarm Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. chili meat*
    2 c. chopped green onion
    2 c. green peppers, diced
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    2 cans (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes
    2 medium onions, diced
    1/2, 1 or 1 1/2 tsp. Tabasco or hot pepper sauce for 1, 2 or 3 Alarm Chili
    1/2 c. hot salsa (2 alarm) or 1/2 c. chopped jalapeno pepper (3 alarm)
    1, 2 or 3 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    2 Tbsp. cumin
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 or 1 tsp. cayenne pepper (2 or 3 alarm)
Preparation
    Lightly brown meat; add green onions and garlic.
    Cook until onion is transparent (about 5 minutes).
    Add green pepper.
    Cook for 5 minutes.
    Add crushed tomatoes, Tabasco and salsa or jalapeno peppers (for 2 or 3 alarm).
    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add remaining ingredients and simmer slowly for 1 to 2 hours.
