Grandpa'S Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. dry beans (small red, pinto or navy)
    1 qt. water
    1 qt. canned tomatoes or juice
    1 1/2 lb. smoked picnic ham (or less as desired for flavor)
Preparation
    Wash beans.
    Put into a 6-quart pressure pot.
    Cook in water at low pressure for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Add tomatoes or juice and ham.
    Replace to burner and cook 1 1/4 more hours at low pressure.
    More salt may be needed depending on saltiness of ham.
