Heath Bar Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or oleo
    3 Tbsp. water
    2 Tbsp. dark Karo
    1 c. white sugar
Preparation
    Put in heavy
    pan
    and melt over low heat the butter or oleo, water and
    Karo.
    When
    hot, add sugar.
    Cook to 310\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Be
    careful.\tAt
    this heat it will scorch easily. Pour
    out on well buttered cookie sheet.
    When partly cool, sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
    When soft, spread with knife. Refrigerate until cool.
    Crack with knife.
