Banana Bread - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed bananas
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening with sugar; add eggs, beating well.
Stir in bananas, buttermilk and vanilla.
Sift in all dry ingredients. Stir to mix.
Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake in a preheated 325\u00b0 oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
