Lazy Daisy Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. dry oatmeal
1/2 c. butter or oleo, softened
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Cover.
Let stand 20 minutes. Beat butter until creamy.
Gradually add sugars and beat until fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs.
Add oat mixture; mix well. Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Add to creamed mixture; mix well.
Pour batter into well-greased and floured 9-inch square cake pan.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 50 to 55 minutes. Do not remove cake from pan.
