Barbecue Burgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    4 medium onions
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 c. chili sauce
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 c. tomatoes
Preparation
    Melt shortening in skillet, adding the 4 onions thinly sliced. Saute the onions over low heat.
    Add the beef, stirring lightly until brown.
    Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly on low temperature for 2 hours.
    Serve on hamburger buns.
