Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. green tomatoes
    2 large bell peppers (can use 1 red pepper)
    4 onions
    1/4 c. salt
    2 heads cabbage
    2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. pickling spice
Preparation
    Grind together (or use food processor) the tomatoes, peppers, onions, salt and cabbage.
    Let set.
    Combine sugar, vinegar, celery seed and pickling spice.
    Mix all together in a large pot. Cook over medium heat to a good boil; continue to cook for 5 minutes.
    Pack into hot sterile jars and seal.
    Good with meat or beans.
