Linda'S Icebox Surprise - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 stick softened butter or margarine
    1 c. nuts (walnuts, pecans, mixed nuts, your option)
    3 pkg. softened cream cheese
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1 extra large egg
    3 pkg. chocolate pudding (instant or cooked)
    1 container Cool Whip (whole container will not be used)
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/4 to 1/2 c. chocolate syrup
Preparation
    First Layer:
    Combine flour, butter and nuts in a bowl.
    Mix well (mixture will be crumbly).
    Put mixture in the bottom of rectangular pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    If you do not wish to bake or make this crust, you may use graham cracker pie crust already made up.
