Swedish Nuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. (1/2 c.) blanched almonds
1/2 lb. (2 c.) walnut halves
2 egg whites
1 c. sugar
dash of salt
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
Preparation

Toast nuts on tray in oven until light brown.
Beat egg whites slightly.
Fold in sugar and salt.
Beat until stiff peaks form. Fold nuts into meringue.
Melt butter in a jelly roll pan (or cookie sheet with sides).
Spread nut mixture over butter.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until no butter remains.
Stir every 10 minutes while baking.
