Angel Gingerbread(This Recipe Is 75 Years Old.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. shortening, melted
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Beat egg.
    Add melted shortening and set aside.
    Sift together flour, sugar, salt and ginger and add to egg mixture, beating thoroughly.
    Add molasses.
    Dissolve soda in boiling water; add water mixture to combined ingredients and beat until smooth.
    Pour into a greased 8-inch square pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
