Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. lukewarm water
3/4 c. shortening
5 c. self-rising flour
2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Dissolve yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar in water.
Cut shortening into flour.
Combine buttermilk, soda and salt.
Add buttermilk and yeast mixture and remaining sugar to flour.
Place in airtight container; refrigerate or roll out on a floured board. Place on a greased pan.
Bake at 450\u00b0 until golden brown, about 12 to 15 minutes.
Mixture will keep in refrigerator for several days.
