Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    1 egg
    1/2 cake or 1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 c. warm water
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Add beaten egg to milk.
    Dissolve yeast and warm water.
    Add to egg mixture.
    Cut shortening into flour.
    Mix flour and egg mixture.
    Knead and roll dough to about 1-inch thickness.
    Cut with cutter.
    Brush tops with butter or margarine.
    Place on greased cookie sheet and cover with towel.
    Let rise 2 hours. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes in preheated oven.
