Sour Cream Tortilla Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. salad oil
3 c. canned tomatoes
1 pkg. taco mix
2 Tbsp. chopped jalapeno or green chilies
1 large pkg. Doritos or Fritos
1/2 c. salad oil
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. seasoned salt
Preparation

Saute 1/2 cup onions in 2 tablespoons oil until tender.
Add tomatoes, taco mix and peppers.
Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
Set aside to cool.
Pour about 1/2 cup of sauce in bottom of 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish and spread to cover.
Arrange a layer of Doritos over sauce.
Top with 1/3 of sauce, onions and cheese. Repeat procedure twice, making 3 layers of Doritos.
Combine sour cream and seasoned salt.
Spread over cheese to edge of dish. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
To serve, cut into 10 or 12 squares.
