Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Heat molasses and shortening together.
    Sift and measure flour.
    Sift again with ginger, salt and soda.
    Add to first mixture.
    Warm, mix and chill dough.
    Toss on lightly floured board and roll very thin.
    Cut in shapes.
    Place on well-greased tin in moderate oven.
    These are hard and snap.
