Circle Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon
Preparation

Cream together butter and shortening and add 3 cups sugar gradually.
Add eggs (one at a time), beating after each addition. Add plain flour to which baking powder has been added alternately with sweet milk.
Flavor with vanilla and lemon.
Pour in large steeple pan which is greased and bottom lined with wax paper. Place in cold oven at 350\u00b0 and bake without opening door for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
