Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers
    2 gal. water
    3 c. lime
    3 qt. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    4 lb. or 9 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and peel large ones.
    Cut in 1/4-inch pieces. Slice and soak 24 hours in lime water.
    Remove and soak in clear water 2 hours.
