Billy Goats(Little Date Cakes) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 lb. pitted dates

Preparation

Cream butter with sugar.
Add eggs; beat well, then mix with sour cream, soda, baking powder, flour, allspice, chopped walnuts and dates (cut up with scissors).
Drop by spoonful on a buttered cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until browned.
Makes 3 dozen.
