Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 medium onions, peeled and quartered
    1 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 stick butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 eggs, beaten
    Ritz crackers, crushed (1 roll or sleeve)
Preparation
    Boil onions in salted water until transparent, about 15 minutes.
    Reserve
    a
    small
    amount
    of
    crackers
    and cheese. Combine all
    remaining
    ingredients and mix well.
    Pour into a greased casserole
    dish.
    Top
    with reserved cheese and crackers. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
