Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. white corn syrup
    3/4 c. hot water
    2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Boil sugar, syrup and water in heavy saucepan until it reaches 235\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Pour half of this mixture into egg whites and mix well.
    Cook remaining syrup to 250\u00b0.
    Beat into egg white mixture and add vanilla and pecans.
    Beat until nearly cold. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
    Yield 3 to 4 dozen pieces.
