Caramel Walnut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. unsifted flour
    3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 egg, beaten
    3/4 c. margarine
    3/4 c. walnuts, chopped
    24 caramels (unwrapped)
    1 can sweetened condensed milk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and egg; cut in 1/2 cup margarine until crumbly.
    Stir in walnuts. Reserve 2 cups crumbs; press remainder firmly on the bottom of a greased 11 x 7-inch pan.
    Bake 15 minutes.
