Pecan Tarts - cooking recipe

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. sifted flour
1 egg
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
2/3 c. chopped pecans, divided
Preparation

Combine
cream\tcheese,
1/2
cup
butter
and flour in medium size mixing bowl.\tChill, covered, 1 hour.
Shape into 24 (1-inch)
balls.
Press each dough ball over bottom and up sides of\tungreased
miniature
muffin pans.
Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
