Mexican Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dry long cooking rice
    1 (10 or 12 oz.) jar picante sauce (mild)
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. onion powder (or dry chopped onion)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. chopped dry chives
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. margarine
Preparation
    Rinse rice; drain.
    In 2-quart boiler, add rice and all ingredients.
    Bring to boil; reduce to low heat.
    Cover and cook 25 to 30 minutes.
    Remove from heat and fluff.
    Serve with additional picante sauce if desired.
