White Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1/3 c. light corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. quartered cherries
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In
    large saucepan, combine first 5 ingredients.
    Bring to a boil
    slowly,
    stirring
    until sugar is dissolved.\tBoil without stirring over medium heat to 236\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Remove from heat and let stand 15 minutes.
    Do not stir. Add vanilla. Stir
    with\twooden spoon until mixture starts to lose its gloss, about
    8
    minutes.\tStir in cherries and walnuts.
    Pour
    into buttered
    shallow pan.
    Cool; then cut into squares.
