Barbecued Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 lb.) beef roast
    1 small onion, cut into chunks
    1/2 tsp. red pepper
    4 tsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp. pepper sauce
    1/2 c. catsup
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    4 tsp. liquid smoke
    1 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Brown roast in large saucepan.
    Place onion chunks on roast. Combine red pepper, brown sugar, dry mustard, Worcestershire sauce, pepper sauce, catsup, vinegar, water, liquid smoke and chili powder in bowl; mix well.
    Pour over roast.
    Cook for 2 hours, or to desired degree of doneness.
    Yields 12 servings.
