Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 c. light brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. hot water
    1 c. molasses (Grandma's or Brer Rabbit)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Make crumbs of first 3 ingredients; reserve 1 cup of crumbs. Mix last 4 ingredients together, then add the crumbs.
    Mix together.
    Sprinkle the reserved cup of crumbs on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
