Spicy Black-Eyed Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) bag dried black-eyed peas
    5 c. water
    2 Tbsp. minced green onions
    1 Tbsp. creole seasoning
    1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
    3 chicken-flavored bouillon cubes
Preparation
    Sort and wash peas; place in a large Dutch oven.
    Add water to cover peas 2-inches; let soak 8 hours.
    Drain peas and return to Dutch oven.
    Add 5 cups water and remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour or until peas are tender, stirring occasionally.
    Yields 8 to 10 servings.
