Donna'S Cherry Chiffon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can cherry pie filling
1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange gelatin
1 tsp. angel food flavoring (or 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring)
3 egg whites
baked 9-inch pie shell
frozen whipped topping or whipping cream (optional)
Preparation

Heat pie filling, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; slowly add gelatin and stir until dissolved.
Add flavoring.
Chill until almost set.
Whip with rotary or electric mixer until fluffy. Beat egg whites until they hold a soft peak.
Fold into gelatin mixture.
Pour into pie shell and chill until firm.
Serve with whipped topping or whipped cream, if desired.
