Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate or butterscotch chips
3 c. oatmeal
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. nuts or unsalted peanuts
Preparation

Bring sugar, butter, milk and vanilla to a boil on medium-high heat.
Add chocolate or butterscotch chips and stir until melted. Add oatmeal, coconut and nuts.
Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper. Cookies will harden as they cool.
