Nashville Chess Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp. yellow corn meal
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (9-inch) pie crust (unbaked)
Preparation

Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
Beat margarine with electric mixer unti light.
Fold in sugar, eggs, vinegar, corn meal and vanilla, but do not beat; pour into pie crust and bake.
Reduce heat to 325\u00b0 at once.
Bake about 45 minutes or until pie is just set.
Shield crust with foil if needed to prevent overbrowning.
