Pecan Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs and nuts, vanilla and salt; then flour sifted with baking powder. Bake 30 minutes in moderate oven; cool and cut into sticks or squares.
