Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
6 egg yolks
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
6 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation

Cream margarine and Crisco until fluffy.
Add sugar and beat until smooth.
Add egg yolks; beat well.
Sift flour and soda together.
Add to mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla, nuts and coconut.
Fold in egg whites.
Bake in 3 well-greased and floured pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
