Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or shortening
    3 Tbsp. buttermilk
    2 unbeaten eggs
    1 rounded tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Make like biscuits.
    Sift flour in a large bowl.
    Make a hole in center; put all ingredients in and work with hands until you can handle dough.
    Roll out on floured board about 1/4-inch thick. Sprinkle with sugar and cut out like you would a biscuit.
    Will make 8 dozen.
    You will have to divide dough 3 ways.
    You cannot roll then all at once.
    Bake about 10 minutes at 400\u00b0 or until brown.
    They will be crisp.
