Fena'S Onion Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large sweet onion
    1 c. water
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. white sugar
Preparation
    Chop onion fine; combine with water, sugar and vinegar.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cool overnight.
    The next day, drain onions.
    Use white bread.
    Trim brown edges off.
    Spread mayonnaise on both sides of bread.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar and then spread onions, not too thick.
    Put together and cut into finger sandwiches.
    Can be frozen and thawed to be used later.
