Chewies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1 c. dark brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.
    Stir in other ingredients. Bake in greased 9 x 13-inch pan at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Cut when cool.
