Citrus Brunch Fruit - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 cans mandarin oranges, drained
3 cans grapefruit sections, drained
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. water
1/2 c. lemon juice
2 avocados
Preparation

Combine orange and grapefruit sections.
Make syrup from sugar, water, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Add 1/2 cup lemon juice and cool.
Pour syrup over oranges and grapefruit and marinate overnight.
Just before serving, add sliced avocado.
This can be drained and served on lettuce or you can serve undrained in cups, etc.
Serves 8 to 10.
