Swedish Meat Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 lb. ground veal
    3/4 tsp. salt
    dash of white pepper
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg
    1/4 c. light cream
    1 can consomme
    1 can mushroom soup
Preparation
    Cook onion in butter over low heat until tender; do not brown. Combine meats, salt and pepper; mix thoroughly.
    Mix in flour and beat in egg gradually.
    Beat in cream and add onion; mixture should be light and fluffy.
    Form into 1-inch balls.
    Lightly brown in skillet, shaking skillet to turn.
    Remove fat.
    Add consomme; cook, uncovered, for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Add mushroom soup (undiluted) and heat until hot.
    Meatballs can be served over cooked rice or noodles.
