Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    6 tsp. cornstarch
    few drops red food coloring
    1 pkg. strawberry gelatin
    1 qt. fresh strawberries, hulled, rinsed and drained
    1 carton frozen whipped topping or 1 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    Combine the water, sugar and cornstarch and cook until thick and clear.
    Add food coloring and 4 tablespoons of dry gelatin. Cool.
